Welcome to Beautiful Moments for Christian Women

Hello! Welcome to my blog, Beautiful Moments for Christian Women! I’m thrilled that you’ve come by and I hope you’ll grab a cup of coffee and read on! In this blog post, I’m sharing who I am, why I’m sharing with you, and what you can expect.
Who am I? I’m Barbara, an older woman who loves God and loves precious Christian women of all ages. When I was a young mother, I was thankful for older women who encouraged and prayed with me. When I faced new problems in mothering and running my home, I’m thankful for the Bible and prayer, because the Lord answers and gives help right when we need it and in the way we need it when we seek Him.
In a season where the Lord reminded me that He was good enough to be my best friend, He melted away several common issues we Christian women have: the comparison problem, the perfection syndrome, the wrong thinking issue, and succumbing to unhelpful cycles of worry and anxiety.
One morning in 2007, as my third child was preparing to graduate from high school, I realized that my beautiful home nest was in the emptying stage and that at some point still-in-the-far-away future, I would be an older woman and an empty nester! How awful! I comforted myself that the empty nest was years away, but the older woman part made me wonder what my life would look like then. The Lord assured me that I would still be useful in His service to which I replied, “Well then, Lord, make me ready to be that woman.”
Fourteen more years would pass before my home truly became an empty nest, but throughout those years, I had opportunities to share what I was learning from God’s word either in speaking opportunities, written articles, or in intimate conversations. Now that “empty nester” feels quite comfortable, I have time to create this website to home my writings and to share my journey with other Christian women.
So, who am I? I desire to be that older Titus 2 lady who lives to honor God and who encourages other Christian women to live for God’s glory as they do good for those in their lives. The qualities of womanly godliness given in Titus 2 place us on the solid foundation of Biblical truth to preserve God’s blessings for coming generations!
“Beautiful Moments” sometimes surprise us, and as busy women in today’s world, moments may be all we have, but a moment of godly encouragement may spur us on to a beautiful joyous day, where we know God is with us no matter what the day’s ordinary, menial tasks may be.
I hope you find encouragement, biblical truth, an upward glance, a reassurance that God sees you, and refreshing hope from reading my posts. All this is for God’s glory and for the good of dear Christian women!
