Helpful Tips for Inviting God into Your Day

Remembering to commit each one of our days to the Lord can be quite the challenge for us Christian women! Facing a day after a sleepless night; dealing with life’s problems, large or small; managing inner anxiety, overwhelm, or doubts; and handling all the activities keep us busy from morning till well after dark! While we busy women may heap guilt upon ourselves, we need to know the truth which sets us free: our kind Heavenly Father understands and still bids us to come to him!
Check out these five tips that can help:
- Gratitude to God—Psalm 103:1-2 offer us wonderful truths to meditate on as we begin our days. We can remember to bless our God and remember his holy name; that is, to remember who he is—the eternal God who loves us eternally, and who has provided the way for our salvation.
- Foster Your Relationship with God—As we remember the benefits God has provided for us, we feel a nearness to Him. He has opened the way and offers us many benefits (Psalm 103:3-5): forgiveness, healing, and redemption blessing us with satisfaction in our hearts, strength for our weakness, and a crown of lovingkindness and tender mercies! What great blessings belong to God’s redeemed people!
- Pray your adoration and gratitude to God and ask him for the things you need for the day.
- List your tasks for the day if you haven’t done it already . . . and prioritize what has to be done if nothing else does.
- Intentionally, realize that God is with you through the moments of your day. Walk out your faith in every thought, word, action, and reaction. No matter what happens in the details of the day, trust the Lord, for he is good! At the end of the day, give God the glory and leave the day in His care.
